The Art & Artists of Eureka Springs - Painting ~ Sculpture ~ Fine Crafts
Two new projects have unfolded for Studio 8 Creations. We will be producing two marketing pieces for the artists, galleries and studios in the Eureka Springs area.
The mission (as determined by the artists meeting and followup committee meeting) is to create two very attractive items that can be mailed and handed to our visitors seeking to find the cultural and art districts and galleries as well as locate individual artists and also studios that are open to visitors. The map brochure will be a very effective presentation to locate both downtown galleries and artists and those in the more outlying areas of Hwy 62 and 23 for example. The catalog piece will present the current as well as historical Eureka art community and represent an eclectic and inclusive view of art in Eureka. Both the brochure and the catalog will include a listing of annual arts events.
Here are some specifics on the two marketing pieces that will be available for distribution before the end of November, just in time for the Fall Art Fair & Sculpture Show and all the holiday visitor activity.
1. “The Art & Artists of Eureka Springs~ Painting~Sculpture~Fine Crafts”
Map brochure - 11″ x 17″ mapfold, full color brochure - including downtown map on the inside and an outlying area map on the inner folded page. The maps will be surrounded by gallery/artists ads, 2″ x 2.25″ with a small graphic and up to 5 lines for location and contact info as well as primary media category. Approximately 28 gallery ads can be presented in this format. Additionally, a listing section will feature studio locations for those artists that would like to indicate they are open by appointment. These will be text only listings, with no photo. This section will accomodate up to 12 listings. Each participant will have a referring code to the map(s).
2. “The Art & Artists of Eureka Springs~Painting~Sculpture~Fine Crafts”
Catalog - 5.5″ x 8.5″ bound book, will include full color ads and art by each participating gallery or artist plus the Eureka Spring art ’story’ and history. Expected size is 24-32 pages which will accommodate display ads for 25-40 artists/galleries as well as the story/history sections and a directory listing of studios (as already appearing in the map brochure). The vision for the catalog is a ‘coffeetable’ book - a keeper that will be shared and treasured.
Deadline for inclusion in the brochure and the catalog is October 25th - in order to make the November 24th release date.
A 50% deposit will reserve your space.
The initial printing is planned for a minimum of 10,000 copies of each - perhaps closer to 15,000 if there is enough participation! They are sized so the folded map can be mailed with the catalog. Plans for distribution will be finalized by a separate committee meeting but will include; local visitor centers (Chamber and CAPC) as well as info centers in the NWA corridor; our own galleries, shops and restaurants that feature art; local shows (Fall Art Fair & Sculpture Show) art open houses; by artists who can distribute at other regional shows; through regional B & Bs, etc. These pieces are designed for a targeted upscale market.
